Deposition process of sulfate and elemental carbon in Japanese and Thai forests.

Particulate matter deposited on leaf surfaces may cause erosion/abrasion of epicuticular wax and the malfunction of stomata. However, the deposition processes of particulate matter, such as elemental carbon (EC), has not been studied sufficiently in Asian forest ecosystems. 葉表面に沈着した粒子状物質は、エピクチクラ(ワックス)の侵食・摩耗および気孔の機能不全を引き起こす可能性がありますが、しかし、元素状炭素系粒子状物質の堆積過程はアジアの森林生態系では十分に研究されていませんでした。
