On 4 Aug. as an event of OPEN CAMPUS, more than 70 high students and their parents were in our lab (together with our next room: Takiyama Lab).

We demonstrated an experiment on material transfer: Spraying liquid (solution) to produce micrometer sized droplets (mist), and measuring (in real-time) the size of their dried powder.

This experiment can also explain the formation mechanism of sea salt (NaCl) particles (50 nm to 10 micrometer) from the waves over ocean surface.
