On Monday, April 13th, a delegation of nine members from Gadjah Mada University (UGM), one of our overseas partner institutions, visited the Graduate School of Engineering. The delegation included Selo Sulistyo (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor), Yani Rahmawati (Manager of Academic Affairs and Student Support, Asst. Professor), Hanung Adi Nugroho (Chair of the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Professor), Azkario Rizky Pratama (International Program Coordinator, Asst. Professor), Alva Edy Tontowi (Professor), Siti Subandiyah (Professor), Rachmadi Norcahyo (Asst. Professor), Ady B. Prakoso (Asst. Professor), and Nurbaiti (Postdoctoral Researcher).

The delegation was welcomed by Masafumi Hirano (Director of the Graduate School of Engineering), Satoshi Tanaka (Chair of the International Strategy Committee), W. Lenggoro (Director of the Tenure Track Promotion Organization), Kenta Umebayashi (Chair of the Department of Intelligent Information Systems Engineering), Yosuke Tanaka (Chair of the Department of Biomedical Engineering), Satria Zulkarnain Bisri (Associate Professor), and Onwona Ajiman Suiwau (Professor of the Global Education Institute).

While Gadjah Mada University has maintained active exchange in the field of agriculture, this visit provided a valuable opportunity to invite engineering researchers to our institution. During the meeting, our university was introduced through video presentations, followed by a presentation on Indonesia-Japan academic exchange by Prof. Lenggoro. The discussions covered future international collaboration with our institution, including government-sponsored scholarships through LPDP and measures to promote further exchange. The delegation also expressed appreciation for our university’s dispatch of approximately 50 participants to an international conference held in Yogyakarta in October 2025, as well as for their subsequent cooperation in facility tours and group work at the Gadjah Mada University Faculty of Forestry. Both institutions engaged in constructive discussions on strengthening cooperative frameworks to further advance student exchange, including in the field of engineering.

This visit is expected to contribute to further development of academic exchange between our institution and Gadjah Mada University.

　4月13日（月）、海外協定校であるガジャ・マダ大学のセロ・スリスティヨ（Selo Sulistyo）工学部長、ヤニ・ラマワティ（Yani Rahmawati）教務・学生支援マネージャー、ハヌン・アディ・ヌグロホ（Hanung Adi Nugroho）電気情報工学科長、アズカリオ・リズキー・プラタマ（Azkario Rizky Pratama）国際プログラム・コーディネーター、アルバ・エディ・トントウィ（Alva Edy Tontowi） 教授、シティ・スバンディヤ（Siti Subandiyah）教授、ラフマディ・ノルチャヨ (Rachmadi Norcahyo) 助教、アディ・B・プラコソ（Ady B. Prakoso）助教、ヌルバイティ (Nurbaiti) 博士研究員、9名のご一行が工学研究院を訪問されました。

　工学研究院からは 平野 雅文工学研究院長、田中 聡久国際戦略委員長、W・レンゴロ テニュアトラック推進機構長、梅林 健太知能情報システム工学科長、田中 洋介生体医用システム工学科長、サトリア・ズルカルナエン・ビスリ准教授、オンウオナ・アジマン・スイアウ グローバル教育院教授がお迎えしました。ガジャ・マダ大学とは農学分野での交流が活発ですが、今回は工学分野の研究者を本学にお招きする貴重な機会となりました。

　会談では、本学の動画による紹介、レンゴロ テニュアトラック推進機構長によるインドネシアと本学の交流についてのプレゼンテーションを行い、LPDPによる国費留学等、今後の本学との国際連携に関する検討や交流促進について活発な意見交換が行われました。また、2025年10月にジョグジャカルタで開催された国際会議に本学から約50名の派遣団が参加し、その後実施されたガジャ・マダ大学森林学部での施設見学やグループワークへの協力に対し謝意が示されました。両大学は工学分野も含む学生交流のさらなる推進に向、協力体制の強化について、建設的な議論が行われました。

　今回の訪問により、本学とガジャ・マダ大学との学術交流の一層の発展が期待されます。
