農工大を選んだ理由、また所属学部・学科を選んだ理由は？Why did you choose TUAT, and why did you choose the department to which you belong?

高校時代から高大連携のGIYSEプログラムに参加していて、農工大の研究室にお世話になっていました。当時の担当は、工学部化学物理工学科のレンゴロ・ウレット教授で、PM2.5に関する研究に取り組みました。そのプログラムの一環でイギリス・ケンブリッジ大学のサイエンスフェスティバルを訪れ、英語でプレゼンテーションにも挑戦しました。そこで、PM2.5以外の環境系の研究テーマにも興味を持つようになり、進学先を調べた結果、農工大の環境資源科学科を受験することにしました。GIYSEプログラムに参加したことで、環境に関するさまざまなニュースを批判的に見る視点が身についたのは、入学後の大きなアドバンテージになっています。

(Translated) I have been involved in the GIYSE program since high school. This program is affiliated with Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, where I worked in a lab under the guidance of Professor Wuled Lenggoro (Department of Chemical engineering) who studies PM 2.5. As part of the program, I visited the Science Festival at the University of Cambridge in UK and gave presentations in English. This experience sparked my interest in other environmental research topics besides PM 2.5. After researching different options for further education, I decided to take the Department of Environmental and Resource Sciences. Participating in the GIYSE program has given me a critical perspective on various environmental issues, which has been very beneficial for me since I started university.
